9 year old jailed

Melbourne, Australian authorities have locked up a nine year old alcoholic, after a two year crime spree.

The boy has been jailed after a series of offences, including car theft and stealing from cars, as well as being a suspect in a violent assault while on a train.

After committing his first crime at age seven, the boy has come to the attention of police 35 times.

He is now receiving treatment for his alcoholism and anti-social behaviour.
